Shirtzies for Hazel

Besides leggings, I think this is my most used pattern for Hazel.  It's the girl's Shirtzie from Stitch Upon a Time.  I got to test for this pattern a few months ago and it was so much fun, but I have made even more recently!  I even started a Christmas dress using a burgundy sweater knit and a sparkly ruffled knit for the skirt.  There might even be a matching women's Shirtzie in the works for myself ...those photos to come😉

Matchy Matchy

I really liked how a few gift items I made turned out.  I do find that it is difficult to sew clothes for friends as gifts.  Difficult to choose a size, difficult to pick a style and fabrics I think they would like.  But, I liked how these tank tops and underwear sets came out.   Even if the fit isn't perfect, they can end up wearing them as pajamas.  The top is also a little baggy in some areas, so hopefully this could help since the fit doesn't have to be perfect to still look good.  I also love gifts that got together like this.  Hopefully the gifts are liked as well!!!
Tank top is Stitch Upon a Time, Spoxxy and underwear is Scrundlewear by Stitch Upon a Time as well.

Red, White, (Grey), and Blue

I made Ryan a grey striped and red shirt a while ago, and he was excited to wear it on 4th of july with his blue shorts.  I like sewing for Ryan and it makes me even happier when he likes wearing what I make him.   There aren't a ton of guy patterns, but he also goes for t-shirts mostly.  I should make him some more t-shirts!
Hazel got two (mommy made) red, white, and blue outfits.  One she wore on memorial day, one on 4th of July.  I think she might end up wearing both of these just once!  Seems like a lot of work for my baby to wear something once, but in the end, I enjoy the process and seeing her wear what I made.

Sew a Little Seam Hadley Top on Hazel and Patterns for Pirates Henley on Ryan
Hazel in her 4th of July Stitch Upon a Time Aurora dress.  Sadly, this is the best photo I have of her in it!  It's stretchy and a little large on her so it might fit her next year too!

Re-Purposed Shirt for Hazel

I picked up a large shirt at a yard sale the other day, I think it was only 50 cents.  It had a turtle (one of the words Hazel says right now) on it and I thought I could make it into something for Hazel.  At first I was thinking a romper, but ended up using a pattern I had to make it into a tunic length shirt.  I used the front of the shirt and some leftover knit fabric I had from another project.  The back and sleeves are the other fabric I had, and I reused the neckband from the T-shirt.  I really like the curved hem and the patterned fabric for the back and sleeves makes it more unique.

Pattern is the YoHo Henley by Patterns for Pirates in size 18m.
